Your Samsung smartwatch is capable of more than simply displaying the time and sending text messages.

It can even manage the camera on your phone and display exactly what it is seeing! It’s perfect for capturing group photos because you can see what’s happening before you take the picture.

Note: Only the Galaxy Watch Active, Galaxy Watch Active2, Galaxy Watch3, Galaxy Watch4, and Galaxy S9 and higher are compatible with this app. Phones released prior to the Note10 will require a software update.

If you have a Galaxy Watch4 with WearOS, the app is already installed, but you will need to download the Camera Controller app on your watch and phone if you have a watch running Tizen.

  2. Select Galaxy Store after locating it. Tap Search, then search for Camera Controller and tap it.
  3. Tap Install, then grant the necessary permissions. You will be prompted to install the app, which is required for this functionality to function.

Do not waste that breathtaking view. Use your watch as a mini-screen to see what your phone’s camera is seeing so that you can capture the perfect image.

Navigate to the Camera Controller app on your watch. The Camera application will open automatically on your connected device.

Here are some possible actions:

  • The application Camera Controller on a Samsung smart watch
  • Take photos and films: Tap Capture on the watch after aiming the phone’s camera at the desired place. To record videos, you must first turn your smartphone to Video mode, and then tap Record on your watch. Certain camera modes are not supported by the Camera Controller app.
  • To switch between the front-facing and rear-facing cameras, simply flick up on your watch.
  • Tap the Timer icon to enable or disable the timer.

You may see photos immediately on your watch! To view your photo, tap the Gallery button next to the Capture symbol (s). A preview of the previous image captured will appear.
